Devising ECED’s logo: Pursuing European unity.
Following the preliminary meeting at the Korczakianum in Warsaw and the two-tier discussions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have jointly developed the Centre’s logo meant to signify what ECED has been established for.
At its “lowest” level, the logo depicts the European outline, the idea being that all Europeans can build upon what they – geographically and culturally – share and what may at some point in the future serve as grounds for the further cooperation and unison between all European states. “Over” the general outline there appears in the logo the indication of the European Union itself as the post extensive and powerful formation capable of protecting safety and democracy on the continent.
Finally, the logotype may fall subject to periodic modifications marking the state taking over the EU presidency – as Poland does in the year 2025. ECED’s studies, projects, programmes, initiatives, and analyses are all meant to relate to both the narrower as well as the wider dimensions depicted by its logo.
