Mission and activity objectives

Our mission is to continue and develop the social Janusz Korczak movement, and primarily the Polish Korczak Committee, and to support organisational and scientific initiatives in Poland and abroad.

Aims:

  1. Popularization of the humanistic ideas of Janusz Korczak/Henryk Goldszmit.
  2. Continuing and multiplying the achievements of Korczak's social movement.
  3. Conducting and disseminating the results of research on the life and creative achievements of Janusz Korczak.
  4. Promoting and protecting children's rights, especially protecting children against abuse and social exclusion.
  5. Developing student self-government and various forms of civic activity of children and youth in local, national and international environments.
  6. Supporting children, adolescents and adults in their comprehensive development, including assistance in the development of their passions, interests and abilities.
  7. Promoting methods of solving problems related to health protection of children, adolescents and adults.
  8. Developing and supporting various forms of education for children, youth and adults.
  9. Supporting pedagogical and educational initiatives and innovations close to Janusz Korczak's pedagogy.
  10. Protecting children's rights in the face of contemporary cultural and social challenges and the development of new technologies, including the development of artificial intelligence and social media.

Basic form of activity

Cooperating with and supporting schools, social establishments and organisations, universities and other entities bearing the name of Janusz Korczak or acting in accordance with the humanistic ideas of our patron.

Realisation of authorial educational projects.
